Hi, I'm Molly!
I was raised in California, amidst redwoods, coastal fog, and farm fields full of artichokes. Growing up immersed in nature, I fell in love with the wild places and creatures that make our planet so unique. Over the years, my infatuation with nature, paired with an enthusiasm for travel, led me to many remarkable places. I’ve lived in or traveled to more than 20 countries where I’ve witnessed both the stunning beauty of our planet and the terrible consequences of unchecked development, resource extraction, mass tourism, and more. Troubled by the damage being done to our environment and communities around the world, I pursued a career in wildlife conservation.
But, I wanted to do something more personal. I started Molly Gone Wild as a way to combine my two passions - sustainability and travel. I believe that a sustainable lifestyle can and should be attainable, affordable, and enjoyable. I strive to live in a way that minimizes my environmental footprint and creates positive social and environmental impact. Through Molly Gone Wild, I hope to inspire others to make sustainable choices in life and travel. I share down-to-earth travel recommendations, sustainable lifestyle resources, reflections from home and abroad, and aim to create space for everyone to grapple with the big questions about what it means to choose a more sustainable existence.
xoxo Molly
